Wow, thank you. I don’t even know how to talk to people anymore... We’re living in alternate realities, and I don’t know how to bridge that gap. People act like we want to be in their business when in reality I want to stay as far away from dictating others’ actions as possible. But ya, we rise and fall together, and I’m shocked by the new lows I can reach in my complete lack of pride in being an American... this place is so off track, I have no idea how to course correct...

All that aside, I remain hopeful. Especially when I read a piece like this that so honestly, adeptly, and hilariously captures an experience that is both personal and shared.
